Must Have
Associate's Degree in Business Management, Accounting, Banking & Finance, or Liberal Arts, or equivalent work experience, Minimum of 2 years Business to Business collections, Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel: pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and other formulas
Nice to Have
Two or more years of experience as a collector, Working knowledge of collection policies and procedures, Demonstrates learning adaptability regarding customer portals and varying internal programs and systems, Demonstrates proficiency in other Microsoft office applications, Demonstrates the ability to type a minimum of 40 wpm
What You'll Do.
Call delinquent customers to identify root cause of
Establish plans to resolve past due balances
Initiate correspondence to customers and field sales
Enhance corporate cash flow
Ensure departmental goals are achieved
Present a positive and service-oriented attitude
Maintain and improve customer relationships
Recommend new strategies regarding departmental procedures
Recommend new strategies regarding customer payment patterns
Identify customers that require placement with third party
Identify customers that require bankruptcy processes
Submit write-off preparation
Evaluate account statuses to initiate credit suspension
Pursue action with the customer and Sales to
Appraise situations once resolved to potentially reinstate credit
Identify causes for customer deductions
Recommend operational changes that reduce/eliminate reoccurring deductions
Work with Billing and Customer Service to preemptively
