Maintain AR Aging ownership
Make inbound collection calls
Make outbound collection calls
Communicate with clients
Serve as client contact
Address billing questions
Address account status
Address payment inquiries
Build client relationships
Maintain client relationships
Encourage open communication
Encourage timely resolution
Meet performance metrics
Drive AR aging improvement
Drive past due balance improvement
Resolve customer disputes
Assist with payment reconciliation
Follow up on unapplied cash
Follow up on discrepancies
Follow up on bounced payments
Follow up on failed payments
Assist clients with billing portal
Guide clients through payment processing
Guide clients through autopay setup
Resolve billing portal questions
Resolve billing portal issues
Recommend AR process improvements
Recommend collections process improvements
Negotiate payment plans
Prioritize proactive communications
Minimize bad debt losses
Demonstrate customer service
Handle customer complaints
Support issue resolution
Notify management of financial risk

In order to be successful in this role, you should have excellent communication and negotiation skills, and a proven ability to work independently. The Collections Specialist will be expected to act as a liaison between our customers and the organization in a way that supports our mission to deliver an IT experience that clients love, making someone with a combination of collections and customer service experience an ideal candidate.
