Determine principle diagnoses
Determine secondary diagnoses
Assign diagnostic codes
Assign procedural codes
Perform discrepancy resolution
Serve as liaison between CBO and sites
Assist in orientation of new employees
Assist in training of new employees
Review office based electronic charges
Review encounter forms for completion
Review encounter forms for accuracy
Code and enter charges
Review physician documentation of surgical procedures
Assign and enter billing codes
Identify applicable diagnosis procedures
Identify applicable codes
Enter charges within two business days
Identify educational needs
Identify compliance issues
Report educational needs to Director
Report compliance issues to Director
Resolve coding discrepancies
Obtain and maintain education
Serve as expert resource for physicians
Serve as expert resource for office management
Serve as expert resource for central billing staff
Research coding questions
Respond to coding questions
Research compliance questions
Respond to compliance questions
Coordinate accurate assignment of procedure codes
Coordinate accurate assignment of modifiers
