Must Have
Three (3) years of experience in heavy customer service, six (6) months must be in interpreting and enforcing specialized code/ordinances, investigating code violations and/or issuing citations, Valid Texas Driver's License with good driving record, Code Enforcement Officer issued by TDLR
Nice to Have
Code Enforcement Officer certification, issued by a state other than Texas, must obtain the certification from the Texas Department Licensing and Regulation (TDLR) within the probationary period (6-months)

Inspects a broader range of more complex projects. **_Job Description_** **Overview** The Code Enforcement Officer II performs specialized inspections and enforces municipal, land development, and property maintenance codes within city boundaries. Schedules and performs systematic property maintenance inspections to maintain or achieve minimum property standards and handles difficult technical problems as needed. Seeks advice on the more complex/difficult technical problems from a supervisor. Works in the field and is responsible for making low impact decisions requiring technical discretion, judgment, and familiarity with a broader variety of problems. **Essential Functions** 1\. Conducts detailed inspections of properties, including interior inspections, to ensure compliance with structural, zoning, and health codes. Works closely with property owners to schedules inspections to ensure thorough examination of potential violations. 2\. Investigates, identifies, addresses code violations, utilizing technical knowledge and judgement to interpret codes accurately. Assesses probable cause and executes warrants for inspection when necessary and conducts additional research to understand the full scope of compliance issues. 3\.
