In this role, you’ll work directly with residents and businesses to investigate concerns, conduct property inspections, and help resolve code compliance issues that impact our community. Essential Job Functions * Responds to allegations of property maintenance code and other municipal codes violations. Completes a thorough investigation to determine if code violations exist and then takes appropriate corrective action and completes documentation. * Performs on-site inspections of commercial and residential buildings, sites, and vacant land to determine if maintenance of the property is in compliance with property maintenance code. Takes appropriate corrective action as necessary. * Initiates the legal and judicial process by issuing and serving summonses and providing evidence and testimony at hearings and trials and ensures that the legal requirements of notification are met.
