Starting salary will be determined by the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities, as well as internal equity. **The range listed reflects the entire range and typical placement is entry to mid range.** Pay Range: $27.86-$38.09 Hourly The City of Arvada is looking for a proactive and community-focused **Code Compliance Officer** to help protect the safety, appearance, and livability of our neighborhoods. In this role, you’ll work directly with residents and businesses to investigate concerns, conduct property inspections, and help resolve code compliance issues that impact our community. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys problem solving, working in the field, and building positive relationships with the public. Essential Job Functions * Responds to allegations of property maintenance code and other municipal codes violations. Completes a thorough investigation to determine if code violations exist and then takes appropriate corrective action and completes documentation. * Performs on-site inspections of commercial and residential buildings, sites, and vacant land to determine if maintenance of the property is in compliance with property maintenance code. Takes appropriate corrective action as necessary. * Initiates the legal and judicial process by issuing and serving summonses and providing evidence and testimony at hearings and trials and ensures that the legal requirements of notification are met.
