What They're Looking For.
Must Have
High school diploma or equivalent (GED) or 3+ years of relevant manufacturing work experience, Regard safety as a core must be willing and able to work must always wear PPE
Nice to Have
2 years of experience in skilled labor position with demonstrated mechanical aptitude, Demonstrate a quality and service focus, Good written and oral communication skills, Ability to read and comprehend documents related to product manufacturing, Able to work both individually and in a team-based environment, Able to work during the designated hours and accept a reasonable amount of overtime (including weekends), Demonstrated initiative, integrity, and judgment skills, Demonstrate record of embracing and contributing to daily ELS processes and tools - MDI, standard work, 5S, etc., Positive attitude, a work ethic, and demonstrated reliability, Proficiency with computer applications, especially ERP system transactional skills, Ability to lift up to 50 pounds without assistance periodically through the shift
What You'll Do.
assigned to work on a coating line
work in one or more work stations
including the face unwind
main console/winder and Quality lab
proficient on more than one coating asset in a given location
leading machine set ups and changeovers
coordinating preventative maintenance (PMs)
making decisions on machine adjustments
safe work area and adhere to all safety polices
Consistently working in a safe manner with regard to self
co-workers and manufacturing systems
Loading raw material into the machine and unloading finished product
Determining and controlling the machine cycle
varying and modifying as necessary
Performing tests and checking product routinely for multiple characteristics
using standard measuring devices and making some judgments against standards that are not readily measurable
Meeting production schedules and programming production sequences for optimal productivity
Following standard operating procedures and specifications or instructions of higher level technical personnel
pressures and related controls and guidelines to ensure adherence to production/process specifications
Maintaining production records and logs of equipment and product performance
quality and continuous improvement initiatives
Perform all other duties assigned by the supervisor
