Must Have
High school diploma or equivalent, Five years’ experience in operating CNC lathes and/or mills, Ability to program and operate CNC controls, Ability to machine parts to specific tolerances, Ability to verbally communicate with team members, supervisors, and engineers, Able to work with coolant, solvents, and grease, Ability to program/set up a Mazak machine
Nice to Have
Blueprint reading a plus
What You'll Do.
Set-up and operate CNC/Manual Lathe or Mill
Produce precision parts and instruments
Plan CNC program to control contour-path machining
and follow basic blueprints

Analyze drawings to determine dimension and configuration of

Set-up parts to be machined
Machine parts to prints
Determine reference points
Determine direction of machine cutting paths
Compute angular dimensions
Compute linear dimensions
Outline sequences of operations
Perform quality work checks
Use in-process inspection tools
Use in-process inspection devices
Work with engineers to produce quality parts
Write instruction sheets
Write program of machine instructions
Regulate movement of machine along cutting path
Observe operation of machine on trial run
Prove programmed instructions
Fill out quality paperwork
