## ## **Overview & Responsibilities** ** _Overview:_** To perform all required layout, complex setups, manual and CNC machining. This includes subassembly, tool setting, deburring of parts, dimensional inspections, and final assembly of components according to required specifications in a timely manner. Ability to plan and oversee work with minimal supervision while directing other employees. Ability to train other employees on all functions and processes within the department. The below reflects general details considered necessary to describe the principal functions of the job identified, and shall not be construed as a detailed description of all of the work requirements that may be inherent in the job. **_Responsibilities:_** * Conducts him or herself in a professional manner at all times. * Promotes safety and quality at all times. * Experienced and adept at manual and CNC machining Alloy and non-alloys materials using CNC Horizontal turning lathe and Horizontal Boring cum milling machine. * Ability to read mechanical drawings and plan machining by studying work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, materials, specifications, orthographic drawings, reference planes, locations of surfaces, and machining parameters; interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances. * Operates CNC mills and lathes, by entering instructions, including zero and reference points; setting tool registers, offsets, compensation, and conditional switches; calculating requirements, including basic math, geometry, and trigonometry; proving part programs. * Set-up CNC mills and lathes, by installing and adjusting three- and four-jaw chucks, tools, attachments, collets, bushings, cams, gears, stops, stock pushers; indicating vices; and tramming heads. * Recognizes, deploys and properly uses inserts, fixtures and tooling * Loads feed mechanism by lifting stock into position. * Verifies settings by measuring positions, first-run part, and sample workpieces; adhering to international standards
