Must Have
High school diploma or equivalent, Five years’ experience in operating CNC lathes and/or mills, Possess the physical strength and ability to properly handle tooling, Ability to operate overhead cranes and forklifts, Ability to meet production requirements, Ability to use precision measuring instruments, Ability to use a feed and speed chart or a calculator, Ability to program and operate CNC controls, Ability to machine parts to specific tolerances, Ability to verbally communicate with team members, supervisors, and engineers, Able to work with coolant, solvents, and grease

What You'll Do.
Follow written instructions
Determine dimension and configuration of cuts
Determine machine speeds and feed rates
Set-up and operate CNC lathes
Set-up parts to be machined
Machine parts to prints
Determine reference points
Determine direction of machine cutting paths
Compute angular and linear dimensions
Compute radii and curvatures
Outline sequences of operations
Perform quality work checks
Use in-process inspection tools
Produce quality parts to engineered specifications
Write instruction sheets
Write program of machine instructions
Regulate movement of machine
Compare computer printout with original program sheet
Revise programs to eliminate instruction errors
Observe operation of machine on trial run
Prove programmed instructions
Fill out quality and inspection paperwork
