What They're Looking For.
Must Have
7+ years of experience in a platform engineering, infrastructure engineering, DevOps, or similar individual contributor role, software development skills in Python or C#, object oriented design, building and maintaining production quality services and applications, Experience building and operating platform capabilities as products, Deep, hands-on experience with Terraform, Hands-on experience operating public cloud platforms (AWS and/or Azure) in production environments, Experience designing, owning, and operating CI/CD pipelines, Experience leading technical response during production incidents, understanding of distributed systems, cloud-native architectures, platform reliability and resiliency principles, Proficiency with Jira
Nice to Have
Experience with Internal Developer Platforms (IDPs) such as Cortex, Backstage, OpsLevel, Experience automating end-to-end developer workflows, Experience working directly with application development teams, Familiarity with containerized and serverless runtime environments, Kubernetes, managed cloud-native services, Familiarity with SRE practices, SLOs, SLIs, error budgets, post-incident reviews, Experience contributing to technical roadmaps and architectural direction, Experience designing internal APIs or services, Experience operating platforms in regulated or security-conscious environments, Exposure to cloud cost optimization, FinOps practices, Experience with and understanding of fundamental networking concepts, documentation practices, clear runbooks, design proposals, operational guides, Experience with TypeScript
