The role focuses on building secure, resilient, and highly automated Linux platforms that enable business agility and support Absa’s Platform‑as‑a‑Service strategy. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with cross‑functional stakeholders to ensure operational stability, drive strategic delivery, and uplift engineering capability within the team. **Key Responsibilities** **1\. Linux Platform Engineering & Operations** * Design, install, configure, harden, and maintain enterprise Linux platforms across on‑prem and cloud environments. * Assist with daily IT incidents and adhere to SLA’s * Implement logged change requests * Manage system services, user access controls, storage, file permissions, and full OS lifecycle in line with security and compliance standards. * Perform advanced system tuning and analysis to optimise CPU, memory, disk, and network performance. * Support and migrate Linux workloads into cloud platforms (AWS/Azure). **2\.
