Full Job Description

**Core Responsibilities** * Drive design and delivery of event-driven, serverless solutions * Guide reliability, scalability, and multi-region strategies * Deliver complex work through others while remaining hands-on * Mentor engineers and elevate technical capability across the team * Partner with security, compliance, and engineering teams * Improve developer experience through platform capabilities, tooling, and documentation **Qualifications** * Minimum of eight years related work experience. * Undergraduate degree in a related field or the equivalent combination of training and experience. * Deep AWS experience, including Lambda and event-driven architectures * Experience with software development. Languages needed: Python, Node (nice to have), Java (nice to have) * Strong knowledge of infrastructure as code and reusable platform patterns * Experience building and operating distributed, highly available systems * Understanding of cloud security, IAM, and enterprise compliance * Experience with observability, monitoring, and production operations * Knowledge of HTTP and Web patterns (nice to have: strong experience **Platform Engineering** * Experience building or operating internal platforms or developer tooling * Strong focus on self-service capabilities and developer experience * Experience supporting production systems with on-call accountability **Technical Leadership** * Proven ability to lead complex technical initiatives * Experience mentoring engineers and guiding technical direction * Strong collaboration across cross-functional stakeholders * Ability to influence decisions beyond immediate team **Special Factors** **Sponsorship** Vanguard is not offering visa sponsorship for this position. **About Vanguard** At Vanguard, we don't just have a mission—we're on a mission.
