Must Have

Doctor of Pharmacy degree, Completion of PGY-1 residency or 2 years of demonstrated clinical experience, Current Maryland State License

Nice to Have

Completion of PGY-2 residency or board certification in cardiology

What You'll Do.

Carrying out Clinical Pharmacy services with primary practice in the area of Cardiology

Promoting evidence-based pharmacotherapy and sound pharmaceutical care

Developing medication management protocols and drug therapy policies

Serving as a Cardiology Clinical Pharmacy resource

Conducting departmental activities to meet goals

objectives and policies of the pharmacy department

Participating in improvements in interdepartmental policies and procedures

Completing all core competencies and documenting clinical activities

Supporting the Investigational Drug Service in daily operations

Serving as the medication expert on the Heart and Vascular Unit

Providing time-sensitive

accurate information for other healthcare providers in acute scenarios

Providing pharmaceutical care

and guideline recommendations

Offering guidance for cardiac drug selection and pharmacotherapy regimens

Completing pharmacotherapy drug class reviews

assimilation of evidence-based protocols/order sets

medication safety activities

and targeted medication expense reductions

Assisting in transition of care services

Serving as pharmacy representative on multidisciplinary cardiology committees

Developing cardiology-specific educational programs

standard operating procedures

Educating other healthcare providers on approved treatment guidelines and criteria

Serving as a clinical resource and mentor for Pharmacy School Students
