What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from an accredited school of pharmacy, Pennsylvania pharmacist license
Nice to Have
3+ months of hospital pharmacy experience, Experience or familiarity with home infusion and IV admixture preparation
What You'll Do.
Interpret and evaluate physician medication orders to accurately prepare
and dispense medications
Identify and report suspected adverse drug reactions
Support formulary stewardship by minimizing non-formulary use
applying therapeutic interchange protocols
and promoting evidence-based drug therapy decisions
Review and maintain patient medication records to monitor allergies
and therapeutic duplications while processing and verifying orders
Organize and support daily pharmacy operations
assisting with oversight and guidance of pharmacy technicians
Ensure adherence to all regulatory requirements
professional pharmacy standards
and hospital quality management policies
Communicate effectively with physicians
and care teams to clarify medication orders and support optimal care decisions
Provide drug information
and support to healthcare professionals and pharmacy students
Utilize available technology
including pharmacy information systems and clinical databases
to support accurate and efficient pharmaceutical care
Process and verify prescription orders in compliance with state and federal requirements
