We are so glad you are interested in joining Sutter Health! **Organization:** SMCS-Sutter Med Center - Sacramento **Position Overview:** Coordinates and performs educational activities that promote the competency and development of Sutter Health's nursing staff, including orientation, competency validation, in-service, and continuing education. Assesses, plans, develops, implements, and evaluates nursing educational programs in response to health care demands, trends, identified learning needs, department goals, quality improvement measures, risk management, regulatory changes, and compliancy criteria. Designs educational offerings (courses, simulations, programs) using processes and methodologies that incorporate the principles of adult education and learning styles. Directs the delivery of education for nursing orientation, conducts competency assessments, facilitates ongoing development, and establishes courses and programs based on annual needs assessments and educational compliancy requirements. Delivers education activities that validate, develop, maintain and enhance the knowledge and skills of nursing staff.
