Full Job Description
**Client Service Representative** VCA Care Animal Hospital is seeking an experienced Client Service Representative with previous veterinary experience to join our fun and hardworking team. The successful candidate will be a believer in the possibilities of high quality customer service and patient care. In this position you will be supporting our Doctors and Clients by creating a positive, low-stress atmosphere for our clients and patients. We also value honest and direct communication between team members, management and clients. We are community centered, we honor the client/patient relationship and we respect people and pets. We are looking for a smiling face with compassionate and exceptional client service skills. **ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:** * Customer service functions including: greeting visitors, answering telephones, and getting to know our clients and their pets. * Scheduling and confirming appointments. * Placing outbound calls for follow-ups and reaching out to prospective clients. * Presenting and explaining estimates and processing payments. * Discussing doctor’s recommendations, including prescription medications. * Answering questions regarding products and services, educating clients on general animal husbandry and non-medical pet care (i.e., heartworm prevention, housebreaking, and flea & tick control). * Managing electronic medical records, reports and correspondence. **QUALIFICATIONS:** * At least one year of proven past experience helping customers in a veterinary hospital setting. * High School Diploma/GED or equivalent. * Excellent listening and communication skills. * Compassion for pets and people, and empathy during difficult interactions. * Problem-solving skills with the ability to integrate new information. * Willingness to work week day’s with a flexible schedule. * The ability to lift up to 40lbs and perform general hospital cleaning, as well as be exposed to hazards associated with pets such as allergies, contagious diseases, noises, odo
