What You'll Do.
Monitor and maintain electronic logging device (ELD) systems
Visually track and monitor drivers through GPS systems
Maintain and update driver and vehicle assignments daily
Coordinate with Penske to schedule preventive maintenance services
Communicate with drivers regarding truck-related maintenance activities
and log customer return deliveries
Print delivery tickets through SAP
Route deliveries based on geographic area and available
Prepare final route schedules for the loading team
Manage driver schedules accordingly
Coordinate delivery and pickup appointments via phone and
Monitor and maintain open delivery tickets within SAP
Review and manage open tickets on a weekly
Arrange the most effective method for shipping freight
Create Bills of Lading (BOLs)
Upload signed BOLs into SAP
Communicate and collaborate with internal teams regarding delivery
Plan and execute approximately 20 delivery routes per
Build routes manually using Thomas Guide maps and
Analyze product dimensions and pallet configurations to maximize
Coordinate and integrate vendor pickups at the end
Sequence stops to minimize drive time
Maintain a working knowledge of customer receiving hours
Maintain a working knowledge of delivery appointment requirements
Identify overflow demand
Create second runs when necessary
Manage competing priorities
Address end-of-day warehouse correspondence
