What They're Looking For.
Must Have
High school diploma or equivalent, Medical patient access or billing office knowledge, Two years of phone experience with customers
Nice to Have
Two years of experience in health care working with client benefit coverage and/or claims, Experience working in a behavioral health environment, Basic knowledge of Teams, Outlook and Office programs, Ability to learn new applications, Knowledge of running data reports
What You'll Do.
Develop financial plan for clients
Ensure clients keep appointments
Maximize value of financial assistance
Ensure clients pay for care timely
Make inbound and outbound calls
Identify and escalate client account problems
Answer questions related to client accounts
Make phone inquiries related to client accounts
Work with admission coordinators
Resolve delinquent accounts
Prepare payment plans
Monitor compliance with payment plans
Direct accounts to outside collection agencies
Review applications for financial assistance
Contact clients regarding funding
Allocate funding to recipients
Handle self-pay balances
Perform other duties as assigned
