Industry & Context.
This position is an over the road driving position 2-3 nights a week, Must be able to work independently, Ability to work in degrees of precision and control where damage could be considerable, Attention and care required to prevent injury to others when performing work, Ability to stoop, bend, stand for long periods of time, Ability to maintain a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner
What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Valid Class A CDL License, Valid Medical Card, Must be able to pass DOT pre-employment drug screen and DOT physical, 2 years of previous tractor-trailer flatbed driving experience, Clean driving record, Hands on delivery experience, High School diploma or GED required, Must be able to work independently, Ability to work effectively with people in a fast-paced environment, Ability to work in degrees of precision and control where damage could be considerable, Attention and care required to prevent injury to others when performing work, Ability to stoop, bend, stand for long periods of time, Ability to maintain a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner
Nice to Have
Multi-drop delivery experience is a plus
What You'll Do.
transport metal roofing panels
and coil to our customers
distribution centers and/or construction job sites using a tractor-trailer
practicing safe driving and delivery
top-notch customer service
provide customer responsiveness and efficient material handling and delivery activities
over the road driving position 2-3 nights a week
demonstrate commercial driving and skills in maneuvering the truck and trailer at varying speeds in difficult situations
such as heavy traffic
inclement weather or in a tight loading dock area
Assist in the unloading of products and/ or loading return products at customer locations and job sites
Safely assist in the unloading of the product using a Moffett forklift to customer’s location and/ or return products
Deliver material in a "route truck/multi-drop" fashion to destinations in a safe and timely manner
responsible for securing all loads on the trailers and checking that load multiple times during the route
Able to answer questions regarding packing lists
Preform pre & post trip inspections thoroughly
All material delivered must be verified by the driver while being offloaded electronically or manually
Proof of delivery must be obtained
Maintain cleanliness and integrity of vehicle & equipment
Immediately report any repair or maintenance needed
May perform other duties as assigned
