Full Job Description
Bison Drivers are paid every week, on time! This continental team A shift runs in Yard 1. * 12-hour shifts * Full time position, working up to 45 hours per week. * Shunting experience is an asset * Hourly rate: $23.66/hour and hourly safety bonus * $0.50 /extra an hour if LCV qualified. * Hours of work may change from time to time according to operational demands * Reporting directly to Shunt Coordinator and Yard Services Supervisor * Essential responsibilities are trailer movement, trailer staging, trailer quality checks, and trailer greasing and other tasks as assigned * Responsible for handling all incoming requests to the Winnipeg shunt team on assigned shift * Managing all trailer movements on assigned shift * Needs to work closely with Shunt Coordinator, City Dispatch, Maintenance, and the Warehouse on daily shunting activities * Must be comfortable with smartphone technology for emailing, texting, and internet. Candidate Profile * Company Driver residing in Winnipeg or immediate area * Must have a Class 1/AZ license and 24 months tractor trailer experience * You will be well organized and possess excellent customer service skills * Foster a teamwork environment * Ensure other shunt drivers are operating with good efficiency and offer coaching to improve * Driver who consistently leads by example * You will be reliable, flexible, and punctual * Must be comfortable backing in all manner of tight spaces and locations * Values safety Are you registered with the Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse?
