Being present in the office is an essential function of this job, All newly hired and rehired state employees are subject to a minimum 6-month up to 1-year probationary period, This position is FLSA Non-Exempt, All applicants are subject to a background check, Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship, Work is typically performed in an office setting with exposure to moderate noise levels, Employees are required to communicate, move about inside the office, perform keyboard and 10-key entries, Requires long periods of remaining in a stationary position and daily use of a computer and phone
What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Associate's degree in business, accounting, finance, public administration, law, or other relevant field of study, Three (3) years of qualifying experience in business, accounting, finance, public administration, law, or other relevant experience, A Bachelor’s degree and two (2) years of relevant experience
What You'll Do.
Performs office audits of claims and other business records and documents to determine or verify compliance with laws and regulations
Advises claimants concerning the interpretation and application of statutes and regulations pertaining to unclaimed property
Maintains records and submits oral and written reports concerning cases and activities
Confers with attorneys
accountants and other professionals in administering the unclaimed property laws of the State
