What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, 0–4 years of relevant experience, Working knowledge of CADD software, Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office, Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification in Pennsylvania, understanding of engineering drawings
Nice to Have
Familiarity with structural analysis software, Experience with PennDOT standards, Experience with Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission standards, Experience with City of Philadelphia standards, Exposure to bridge design projects, Exposure to transportation design projects
What You'll Do.
Assist in design of bridge structures
Assist in design of culvert structures
Support roadway design
Support traffic control plan development
Assist with preparation of construction plans
Participate in ADA curb ramp design
Participate in related site improvements
Perform basic engineering calculations
Perform structural analysis under supervision
Assist in reviewing shop drawings
Assist in reviewing construction submittals
Collaborate with engineers
Collaborate with project teams
Develop design documents
Conduct field data collection
Conduct traffic counts
