PHASOR Engineering Inc. is a dynamic Alberta based company specializing in engineering, design, and testing / commissioning of high voltage electrical facilities. Our focus is to incorporate the latest technological advances, such as IEC 61850, to provide the most cost-effective and efficient solutions to power system engineering. This focus allows us to be involved in a diverse range of projects from preliminary engineering through to the commissioning and startup. We are currently seeking a highly motivated **Civil Engineer EIT** to join our team on a full-time basis in our Calgary and Burnaby office. We offer a dynamic work environment with an extremely experienced technical team, where you will be continuously challenged in all aspects of the engineering and design process. **Responsibilities** : · Work within a project team of engineers and designers in our Civil Group. · Detailed technical knowledge of structural engineering design including steel and concrete structures, shallow and deep foundations. · Knowledge of Civil works including site preparation, earthworks and retaining walls. · Adequate knowledge of applicable Canadian codes and standards. · Proficient on software applicable to structural engineering design such as STAAD-Pro · as well as experience with AutoCAD. · Strong understanding of safety in design principles. · Ability to lead a small to medium size design project from start to completion with minimal oversight. · Ability to mentor / provide technical guidance to less experienced engineers. · Results-oriented and self-driven individual with experience juggling multiple projects and meeting project deadlines. · Strong and confident communicator with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
