Using the world's largest and most complex scientific instruments, they study the basic constituents of matter - fundamental particles that are made to collide together at close to the speed of light. The process gives physicists clues about how particles interact, and provides insights into the fundamental laws of nature. Introduction You will provide support in the field of civil engineering to the senior members of the team working across all preparatory aspects of the FCC civil engineering in particular in the fields of site investigations, geotechnical engineering, structural and civil design. You will be responsible for preparing technical and contractual documentation relating to these technical areas and following up of contracts awarded by CERN for FCC preparatory civil engineering related activities. Functions * You will undertake discreet technical tasks in the fields of site investigations, geotechnical engineering, structural engineering and planning of preparatory civil engineering activities. * Supported by other members of the civil engineering team, you will contribute to maintaining the schedule for FCC civil engineering preparatory activities and support the technical and administrative work related to permitting and authorisation files required by CERN. * You will interact and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders across a range of interfacing, technical and administrative disciplines, including for preparatory activities undertaken outside CERN sites such as site investigations or environmental condition surveys. * With support from other members of the team, you will prepare technical documentation for contracts and services associated with the FCC civil engineering programme, in view of potential future implementation. ## Qualifications Master's degree or equivalent relevant e
