Full Job Description
About Base Base is a platform for in-real-life social connection and community. Our Members are accomplished people who have built careers, families, and reputations. They come to Base for what their calendars are missing: regular, in-person time with peers they actually want to know. The gathering is the product. The City Host is the person who makes the gathering work. The Role You run Base events in your city under a Lead Host. Circles, our recurring small-group conversations, and Experiences, our larger gatherings. You arrive early, set the room, greet every Member by name, lead the night with confidence, and close it well. You make a venue feel like the right place to be. What you will do: Set the room. Tablecloths, lighting, place cards, music, flow. The room has to look phenomenal before the first Member walks in. Welcome Members at the door. Know who is coming. Use their name. Lead the room. Open the event, guide the conversation, hand off cleanly between segments, close with intention. Hold the standard. If something is off, a crooked chair, a dim corner, an awkward seam in the music, you fix it before anyone notices. Tear down. Leave the venue better than you found it. Who You Are Charismatic. People warm up to you fast. Professional in any room. Comfortable around accomplished adults. At least 2 years of event experience. Hospitality, production, theater, restaurants, weddings, anywhere you have already run real rooms. Confident leading a group. You can hold 20 to 60 people without losing them. Detail obsessed. You catch what others miss. Details Pay: $25 to $300 per event, scaled to size and responsibility. Time: 6 to 10 hours per event, including setup and breakdown. Schedule: Flexible. Most events are weekends and weeknights. Transportation: Valid driver's license, active auto insurance, and a reliable vehicle. You get yourself to venues.
