Full Job Description

## Accountabilities Lead the design, development, and maintenance of enterprise-grade microservices using Java, Spring Boot, and modern cloud-native frameworks. Define and drive technical strategy for API development, microservice architecture, plugin systems, and enterprise integrations. Manage and mentor Java development teams, ensuring engineering best practices, architectural consistency, and high code quality. Oversee compliance with security standards, audit requirements, and regulated development practices across complex codebases. Manage enterprise application initiatives, including requirements gathering, stakeholder coordination, and project execution. Collaborate with QA and operations teams to ensure reliable deployments, production stability, and system performance. Guide architectural decisions and support senior engineers in designing scalable and maintainable solutions. Requirements: Master’s or PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field. 12+ years of software development experience, including at least 5 years in architecture or technical leadership roles. Expert-level proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, and microservice-based architectures. Active U.S. Secret clearance required, with U.S. citizenship mandatory. Strong experience with Kubernetes-based platforms such as Tanzu or Cloud Foundry. Deep understanding of enterprise system design, scalability, and secure software engineering practices. Strong leadership, communication, and mentoring skills with the ability to guide senior technical teams. Experience working in regulated or compliance-heavy environments (e.g., security, federal, or defense-related systems). Preferred: experience with AWS or cloud certifications, Appian plugin development, publications or patents, and CMMC/NIST frameworks.
