What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field, Experience carrying new design concepts through exploration, development, and into deployment or mass production, Experience in MS Excel, Word, and Windows Operating Systems, Experience with power management and power monitoring systems, Current, active US Government Security Clearance of Top Secret with SCI eligibility or above
Nice to Have
5+ years of project management in data centers or comparable critical infrastructure experience, Knowledge of critical data center equipment, Knowledge of engineering documentation, electrical diagrams and standard operating procedures, Knowledge of building codes and regulations including Life Safety, BOCA, NFPA, NEC, or OSHA, Experience in project management in data centers or comparable critical infrastructure, Experience in Data Center Engineering Operations, with a deep understanding of electrical and mechanical data center infrastructure
What You'll Do.
Act as primary escalation point for facilities-related issues
Oversee operation and management of routine and emergency
Perform root cause analysis of equipment failures
Troubleshoot facility within internal Service Level Agreements
Provide training and guidance to Engineering Operations Technicians
Set team culture with Facility Manager
Create and deploy new standard practices
Assist in build out of new facilities
Assist in projects to increase facility efficiency
Work outside of normal business hours for routine
Respond to out-of-hours emergency calls
Communicate complex technical information to non-technical audience
Work with IT managers and business leaders to
Optimize plant safety
reliability and efficiency
Ensure all safety procedures are adhered to
Establish building performance benchmarks
Conduct analyses on critical facility operations
Prepare reports on critical facility operations
Utilize Microsoft Excel
Troubleshoot mission-critical data center facility equipment
Maintain electrical support equipment
Troubleshoot stand-by diesel generators
Troubleshoot 3 phase electrical systems
Troubleshoot UPS units
Troubleshoot wet cell batteries
Troubleshoot CRAHU units
Troubleshoot centrifugal chillers
Troubleshoot cooling towers
Troubleshoot water systems
Troubleshoot air handlers
Troubleshoot fire/life safety equipment
Troubleshoot building automation systems
Troubleshoot general facilities equipment
Direct technicians in troubleshooting and operations
Support technicians in troubleshooting and operations
Implement site-specific training exercises
Execute site-specific training exercises
Manage projects from conception to completion
Obtain and track quotes for necessary costs
Document project results for future implementation
