Must Have
Minimum 7 years of experience in building engineering or facilities luxury residential or high-rise experience, Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience leading maintenance or engineering staff, understanding of mechanical systems, diagnostics, and building automation controls, Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and work order management systems, Commitment to professionalism, teamwork, and superior service standards, Must be available for emergency response outside regular hours, HVAC Certification, EPA/608 License
Nice to Have
luxury residential or high-rise experience preferred, Weekly Fire Certification preferred, Fire Life Safety Director Certificate preferred, college degree preferred

Job Summary The Chief Building Engineer plays a key leadership role in overseeing the maintenance, repair, and efficient operation of all building systems within a luxury high-rise community. This position manages the on-site engineering team, coordinates vendor work, and ensures compliance with safety regulations and building standards. The ideal professional is proactive, highly skilled, and takes pride in maintaining a best-in-class residential environment. Compensation: $110,000 – $120,000 annually Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. (with 24/7 emergency availability) Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities: Lead, train, and manage the onsite engineering and maintenance team, ensuring high performance and accountability. Oversee the maintenance and operation of all mechanical, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and life safety systems.
