What They're Looking For.
Must Have
University degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field, Minimum 5–7 years of experience in accounting, Previous experience in a Chief Accountant, Country Officer, or similar senior finance role, knowledge of local accounting regulations, tax laws, and IFRS, Experience in statutory reporting and cooperation with auditors and tax authorities, Very good understanding of end-to-end accounting processes (GL, AP, AR, fixed assets, reporting), Experience in leading teams and coordinating cross-functional projects, Advanced knowledge of ERP systems (e. g. SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics), analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment, Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, Very good English (written and spoken)
Nice to Have
Professional accounting qualification (e.g. ACCA, CIMA, CPA, Polish Accountant Certificate)
What You'll Do.
Oversee accounting operations for Polish entities
Ensure accurate financial reporting
Coordinate tax compliance processes
Act as finance representative for legal matters
Ensure compliance with internal controls
Cooperate with external auditors
Lead accounting process improvements
Manage balance sheet reconciliations
Support budgeting and forecasting
Provide guidance to accounting team
Collaborate with finance teams
Maintain knowledge of regulations
Participate in transition projects
