Industry & Context.
Must be able to operate a truck with a capacity of 26,000 plus pounds gross vehicle weight, Must be able to load cargo weighing in excess of 1000 lbs with the assistance of a pallet jack, Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly, Must be able to climb into and out of tractor several times per day using 3 points of contact, Ability to lift over 50lbs at a time, Must be able to bend, stoop, crawl, and squat in order to perform a full inspection of the underside of the trailer and inspect tires for adequate inflation and potential damage, Must be able to work outside for short periods of time in all types of weather
What They're Looking For.
Must Have
3 years commercial driving experience, Must hold valid Driver’s License, Ability to operate handheld computer / cellular telephone, Must have basic knowledge of computers and email, Ability to operate handheld device used to communicate shipment information, Must be able to operate and drive a truck with a capacity of 26,000lbs GVW, Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly, Ability to lift over 50lbs at a time, Must be able to bend, stoop, crawl, and squat in order to perform a full inspection of the underside of the trailer and inspect tires for adequate inflation and potential damage, Must be able to work outside for short periods of time in all types of weather
What You'll Do.
Safely and efficiently drive a commercial truck
Pick up and deliver freight
Maintain telephone contact with dispatcher
Neatly complete bill of ladings and MAWB’s
Maintain driver logbook and daily vehicle inspection report
Interact daily with customers
