As a Chemist at ChampionX, you will play a crucial role in the development, optimization and application of production chemical solutions to Oil and Gas customers. You will be responsible for running technical projects, conducting research, development, and coming up with technical solutions to address our customer’s challenges. You will work on projects both in the laboratory and in the field. As part of the role, you may be required to travel to different sites to conduct testing or meet with internal or external customers to discuss technical topics. The role will also allow the opportunity to present novel research or technical developments in conferences or industry events. **What You Will Do:** • Assist with Technical Support, Product Development and Selection. • Conduct laboratory testing to develop, select or evaluate product performance, secondary properties and compatibilities. Prepare technical reports on the completed lab work. • Support field-based projects. This may include troubleshooting of chemical related issues, conducting product selection and evaluation, and/or executing field trials. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams regionally and globally on technical projects, roll-out new developments and/or optimize internal processes. • Implement and follow the company’s safety policy (Goal Zero) and procedures. Update laboratory test procedures and safety related documents where necessary. • Support the maintenance of the day-to-day operations in the laboratory.
