What You'll Do.
process crude energetic material by recrystallization
conduct analyses of energetic material through various analytical methods
keeping the production floor supplied through the handling and transferring of energetic material to/from production rooms that include outdoor travel to/from outdoor storage locations
Detailed and accurate documentation is necessary to satisfy both customer specifications and government regulations
Set up and maintain laboratory equipment
instrumentation and labware/glassware
Clean and maintain laboratory equipment
Manufacture energetic material by recrystallization method
Explosive powder processes involve simultaneous operation of multiple pieces of laboratory equipment
process chilled loops
etc. at specified ranges
Various process preparation includes handling explosive and hazardous materials
Package hazardous and energetic waste in accordance with DoD approved standards
Perform analyses on energetic material samples with use of surface area analyzer
Draw samples that create an accurate representation of batches to be
Compile and interpret results on tests and analyses
Transfer energetic material to different rooms and locations
