What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Minimum 2–3 years of experience as a Chef de Partie or similar role in a Chinese kitchen specializing in BBQ/roast meats, knowledge of Chinese BBQ preparation techniques and roasting methods, Familiarity with food safety and hygiene practices, Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen environment, Good teamwork and communication skills, organizational and time management abilities, Physically fit and able to stand for extended periods, Must be able to speak, read, and write Bahasa Malaysia and basic English, Must have the right to work in Malaysia
Nice to Have
Culinary certification or relevant professional training is an advantage, Flexibility to work rotating shifts, weekends, and public holidays as required by hotel operations
What You'll Do.
Prepare and cook Chinese BBQ dishes
Handle daily mise en place
Operate and maintain BBQ roasting equipment
Ensure proper marination
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards
Assist in inventory control
Support Sous Chef and Head Chef
Train and guide junior kitchen staff
Ensure compliance with regulations
Work collaboratively with other kitchen sections
