What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, Unit Specific Certification as required, Experience in assigned clinical area, Mentoring experience, Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN)
Nice to Have
One year of clinical nursing experience
What You'll Do.
Perform appropriate assessment of physical
Evaluate information acquired from other members of interdisciplinary
Develop individualized plan of care
and physician in plan
Plan and prepare patients for further support needs
Direct the interdisciplinary care team
Provide or delegate care consistent with plan of
Coordinate and organize patient care delivery
Evaluate patient response to interventions
Revise plan of care as indicated
Reassess changes as appropriate
Ensure staff accountability to standards
Encourage nursing professionalism by coaching and developing others
Integrate legal and ethical standards into practice
Comply with regulatory standards
Practice within scope of licensure
Provide accurate & timely documentation
Understand legal implications of care delivery
Estimate current and next shift staffing needs
Match nurse skill levels with patient requirements
Manage premium pay and overtime efficiently
Allocate resources appropriately
Provide operational and clinical leadership
Set clear expectations for staff
Hold staff accountable for outcomes and behaviors
Mediate conflicts between staff
Act as a resource for setting clear expectations
Guide others and initiate conversations to resolve problems
Encourage accountability and professional growth
Support and enforce unit policies and procedures
Activate chain of command
Facilitate patient and staff safety
Participate in continuous quality improvement
Facilitate continuous quality improvement
