What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Master’s degree in Pastoral Studies, or Theology, Four or more units of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) completed, Board certification by one of these professional certifying organizations: National Association of Catholic Chaplains, Association of Professional Chaplains, Association of Jewish Chaplains, Association of Clinical Pastoral Education, Association of Pastoral Counselors, Three years of experience as a Chaplain in a healthcare setting, Ecclesial endorsement from church body to be involved in hospital ministry
Nice to Have
Master's degree in Divinity, Doctoral degree in Theology or Philosophy, Advanced certification in specialty area of Chaplaincy, Ethics or an equivalent, ACPE Certified Educator Candidate (CEC), Completion of lay ministry or the ordination process

Minister to a diverse population
Provide basic emotional and spiritual support
Provide effective pastoral ministry
Conduct full-spectrum spiritual care assessment
