Safety sensitive position, physical work outdoors, Frequent exposure to fumes or airborne particles., Frequent exposure to a variety of extreme conditions at job sites including high noise level in the work environment., The position may work in outside conditions that include inclement weather, not limited to heat, cold, humidity, and exposure to dust and asphalt., Position lifts or carries objects up to 50 pounds., Stands for long periods of time and performs strenuous physical labor under adverse field employee lifts, pushes, pulls or carries objects., Position requires good manual dexterity (hand, hand with arm, two hands) and multi-limb coordination., Mandatory out of town work averaging 2 weeks- 2 months
What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Traffic Control Technician (TCT) Certification or 2000+ verifiable hours required, High School Diploma or GED completion required, Must be able to follow safe workplace practices, Valid Driver’s License void of suspension or revocation, At least 18 years old, Mandatory out of town work averaging 2 weeks- 2 months, Must be able to read and write English, Valid AZ Driver’s License with a motor vehicle report that meets company guidelines
Nice to Have
Prior experience preferred in temporary traffic control services, utility industry, or construction industry preferred, 1 year Construction experience preferred
What You'll Do.
Controls movement of vehicular
and bicycle traffic through work zones using hand signals with a STOP/SLOW Paddle.
and executes temporary traffic control plans and/or standards to ensure work zones are properly installed and maintained.
and remove Advance Warning Signs
and other traffic control devices according to Federal
and/or Local Temporary Traffic Control Guidelines and Temporary Traffic Control Plans for simple and intermediate complexity work zones.
Maintain a Flagger Station by standing and controlling road users through the use of hand signals with a STOP/SLOW Paddle.
Drive a company vehicle to transport equipment
and team members to and from work sites safely and in a timely manner.
Follow all company safety procedures and practices.
Notify Supervisor of any potential safety issues or incidents.
Achieve organizational required training within timeframe established by Project Manager or Facility Manager.
Provide on-the-job training
and mentoring to Protector
