The Certified Technician, Structural Repair is responsible for the repair and maintenance of the aircraft’s structure Responsibilities * Inspects, evaluates, repairs, modifies and welds the metal parts and /or composites of the aircraft to a standard of airworthiness in accordance with the applicable company maintenance control manuals and Transport Canada regulation; * Orders the necessary parts and insures follow-up on them with Technical Purchasing; * Works closely with the maintenance technicians to keep all aircraft systems operational; * Completes for all parts and structure maintenance carried out, all paperwork required by the Canadian Aviation Regulations (CARs), Aircraft Services Maintenance Control Manual (MCM) and Maintenance Policy MPM); * Recommends for certification, or certifies through the signing of a maintenance release, the completion of work, and that the work performed on the aircraft structure is in accordance with the applicable regulatory requirements. ## Qualifications * College diploma in Aircraft Maintenance or equivalent (structure assembly); * At least two (2) years experience as a Technican in Structural Repair; * Holder of a valid Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (AME) “S” license (which will have to be maintained valid at all times during employment); * Certified welder is an asset * Ability to do detailed work with hands (dexterity); * Ability to read plans / blueprin
