Nights with every other weekend and rotating holiday, Wears appropriate name badge, Dresses appropriately according to dress code requirements, Visible hospital I. D. badge while on duty, Adapts to changing patient and unit needs, Floating, Adjusting assignments, Maintains visibility on the unit, Does not leave work area without appropriate notification

What They're Looking For.

Must Have

Nursing Assistant License with the state of Massachusetts or Show proof of enrollment in accredited nursing school and completion of the courses "Fundamentals of Nursing & II", BLS from the American Heart Association required, At least one year of Nursing Assistant experience required, Able to communicate verbally and in writing in the English language, Able to complete mathematical computations required to perform treatment protocols, Able to lift, transfer and move patients

What You'll Do.

Deliver patient care under RN direction

Collaborate with RN on assignments

Communicate patient status to RN

Notify RN of patient condition changes

Respond to patient call lights

Assist with patient admissions

Assist with patient discharges

Assist with patient transfers

Perform routine patient room rounds

Provide basic patient hygiene

Provide basic patient skin care

Assist patients with meals

Ambulate patients safely

Identify emergency situations

Initiate appropriate response actions

Provide support services to patients

Provide support services to families

Provide support services to staff

Maintain a safe environment

Maintain a clean environment

Maintain an equipped environment

Restock patient equipment

Restock patient supplies

Dispose of soiled linens

How You'll Work.

Collaborates with the RN throughout the shift; Communicates with RN throughout the shift; Seeks assistance from co-workers as appropriate; Works cooperatively with all health care team members; Works cooperatively with all staff members; Takes appropriate steps to resolve interpersonal conflicts; Seeks assistance from RN or off-Shift Nurse Manager; Participates in staff meetings; Assists in the orientation of new staff; Serves as a resource to float staff; Offers assistance to other team members; Communicates with charge nurse/supervisor

Communication Scope

Able to communicate verbally and in writing in the English language; Maintains timely ongoing verbal communication with RN; Communicates with RN throughout the shift; Notifies RN immediately of any significant change; Communicates with charge nurse/supervisor
