Assist residents with their activities of daily living

Perform routine and non-routine duties as directed by nursing staff

Assist patients with bathing and dressing needs

transfers into and out of bed

serving and collecting food trays

encouraging and/or assisting with feeding

answering call lights

insuring a clean environment

transporting patients upon admission and dismissal

assisting with ambulation and orienting/reorienting of resident to the facility environment to insure resident safety

Perform blood pressure

respiration and weight

Document concise and factual information on the appropriate forms

Perform or assist residents in performing specific medical care activities in accordance with established policy and procedure

Assist residents in performing restorative exercises

collecting specimens as directed by nursing staff

Assess and document completed cares

Provide feedback to nursing staff immediately on status or changes in patient conditions

and other important concerns

Assist with restocking supplies and maintaining appropriate work environment in unit including cleaning procedures

Participate in providing emotional

educational and spiritual support for families

Comply with all aspects of resident rights including confidentiality and privacy

Report all allegations of resident abuse or misappropriation of resident property

Understand and follow established policy and procedures related to fire

infection control procedures

hazardous and chemical communication program

Maintain an environment that is clean and safe for all residents
