What You'll Do.
Assists in performing nursing care services
Receives patient care assignment from RN
Initiates delegated tasks based on competence
Collects and documents data for assessment
Documents patient response to care
Relays information via charting
Communicates with team members
Informs licensed nurse of patient changes
Answers patient calls
Monitors patient condition
Assists with personal hygiene
Performs dressing changes
Performs catheter care
Collects biological specimens
Measures and records intake/output
Prepares patients for discharge
Stocks and maintains supplies
Assists with delegated clerical duties
Transcribes physician orders
Prepares patient medical record
Performs mechanical operation of equipment
Recognizes mechanical problems
Initiates corrective action
Performs point of care testing
Works in constant state of alertness
Performs other duties as assigned
