We're committed to giving children back their childhood! **Job Posting Title:** Certified Medical Assistant **Location:** Frisco - Ambulatory Surgical Center **Additional Posting Details:** Schedule: Monday - Friday Availability Available to work from 8 to 20 hours a week depending on need. **Job Description:** # Duties/Responsibilities * Manages clinic throughput and flow of patient-room utilization * Assists with patient intake, measures vital signs, and reviews medication lists; takes medical and surgical histories * Prepares and disinfects exam rooms prior to each patient visit * Ensures adequate supplies and appropriate instruments are available in clinics * Schedules diagnostic tests or imaging * May participate in specimen collection and processing * May remove casts and splints * May perform venipuncture * Accountable for meeting the standards of patient/personal safety and in maintaining a clean and therapeutic environment * Assists clinic staff with administrative needs * Maintains patient information and documentation in electronic medical record * Abides by organizational and HIPAA guidelines, privacy practices, patient confidentiality, and patient rights * Supports hospital and departmental performance improvement goals * Supports quality care through compliance with departmental and organizational policies and guidelines, and external agency guidelines, standards, or regulations * Supports departmental initiatives and change efforts * Practices financial and resource stewardship * Engages in strong communication, acts as team player in supporting mission and vision of organization, and abides by organization’s core values * Additional duties as assigned # Required Skills/Abilities * High school diploma or equivalent required * Certified or registered Medical Assistant required * BLS certification required * Applicable work experience preferred # **Working Environment** * Working Conditions: Inside * Working Pos
