What They're Looking For.

Must Have

Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus in Electrical, Mechanical or Aeronautical), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, At least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR have completed the Boeing internal course “Exploring Leadership"

Nice to Have

Experience working certification aspects of development and sustaining programs, Experience working with system engineering principles, Experience working directly with the Federal Aviation Administration, Experience leading and mentoring large engineering teams, Knowledge of flight control systems, Knowledge of mechanical hydraulic systems, problem solving skills, organizational and communication skills, Ability to plan tasks and adhere to schedules, Ability to take responsibility for all aspects of issue resolution

What You'll Do.

Oversee certification technical decision making and engineering quality

Coordinate with other organizations related to certification technical matters

mentor and develop E-UMs and E-UMits

Manage E-UM project engagement and monitor/maintain utilization of E-UMs and compliance finders and Subject Matter Experts

Oversee E-UM and Non-Boeing Engineering-Unit Member (NB E-UM) development

Lead development and maintenance of standard means of compliance

Support the Applicant to improve compliance showing capability

Support the E-UM Administrator to resolve issues and ensure E-UMs can perform their work statements independently and free from interference

How You'll Work.

Team & Collaboration

Collaborate with Safety and Airworthiness (SAW) managers and the ODA; Coordinate with other organizations including Avionics, Crew Ops, Airplane Safety, Aerodynamics, and Systems Stress related to certification technical matters
