## Description **Job Title: Certification Engineer **Location: Everett, WA (Onsite first month, then Remote) Employment Type: Full-Time Salary: $120,000 – $140,000 per year Client Industry: Aerospace Position Overview We are seeking a highly experienced Certification Engineer with strong expertise in embedded software and DO-178B/C processes to support aerospace certification activities. The selected candidate will initially work onsite at Everett, WA facility for the first month and transition to a remote role thereafter. This role requires deep knowledge of FAA/EASA certification, software lifecycle documentation, and DER support, along with hands-on experience in embedded software analysis and testing. Key Responsibilities Embedded Software Engineering • Perform detailed analysis of embedded software including: o Memory management (dynamic/static memory, memory leaks) o Object code analysis o Watchdog timers o Hardware/software partitioning o Dead code and deactivated code analysis Software Testing & Verification (DO-178B/C) • Develop and execute embedded software testing strategies • Conduct: o Unit testing o Hardware-Software Integration Testing o Software-Software Integration Testing • Create and review: o Test plans and procedures o Structural coverage analysis o Worst-case execution time (WCET) analysis Certification & Compliance • Prepare and review certification documentation in accordance with DO-178B/C • Develop and review Software Accomplishment Summaries (SAS) • Work with certification artifacts including: o SDP (Software Development Plan) o SVP (Software Verification Plan) o PSAC (Plan for Software Aspects of Certification) o HLR/LLR (High/Low-Level Requirements) o SCI, SCMP, SVMP • Support Stage of Involvement (SOI1–SOI4) audits Regulatory & Stakeholder Support • Collaborate with FAA/EASA authorities • Provide hands-on support to Designated Engineering Representatives (DERs) • Ensure compliance with aerospace certification standards and regulatory re
