This position is a team member requiring a cooperative manner, working under direct supervision. Work situations are basically routine in nature yet require a service-oriented individual, organization of time and equipment, independent decision making in the execution of daily routine duties, and prioritization of multiple tasks. Internal contacts occur on a daily basis and may include patient care providers and Materials Management staff. External contacts are limited but may include patients, vendors, rental companies/agencies, other health care facilities, and physicians. **Requirements** * High School graduate or equivalent preferred * Completion of Central Service Technician course of study or completion of healthcare organization training program, as required by location; military training or experience satisfies this requirement for WA state employees, per Title 18 RCW * In lieu of formal training, candidates with a nationally recognized certification (e.g., CRCST) and/or a minimum of one (1) year of recent sterile processing experience preferred * Central Service Certification or commitment to obtain within one year of hire, as required by location * Minimu
