What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Bachelor's degree and minimum 2 years experience in an engineering, manufacturing, operations, production, quality or related industrial environment OR Associate's degree and minimum 4 years' experience in an engineering, manufacturing, operations, production, quality or related industrial environment, In absence of a degree, 6 or more years' experience in an engineering, manufacturing, operations, production, quality or related industrial environment, Experience in MS Office applications, specifically MS PowerPoint and Excel
Nice to Have
STEM degree, Experience as a team lead, Continuous improvement certificates/training such as 6 sigma practitioner/Professional certification, Understanding of Environmental Health & Safety principles
What You'll Do.
Provide leadership and direction
Establish standards and expectations for work effort and
Give constant feedback on performance
Communicate with other department personnel and customers
Address issues and engage the workforce
Achieve production goals
Allocate and assign resources
Coach employees to improve performance
Perform administrative functions for bargaining unit employees
and attendance records
Equitably distribute overtime among employees
Ensure employees are fully trained in Environmental Health
Maintain World Class safety culture
Respond to Environmental Health & Safety requirements promptly
Ensure department equipment is clean and properly maintained
Ensure records and labels are properly affixed
meeting all safety requirements
Ensure full involvement in continuous improvement initiatives
Utilize continuous improvement tools to improve production
Utilize continuous improvement tools to improve performance
Utilize continuous improvement tools to reduce scrap
Utilize continuous improvement tools to reduce rework
Utilize continuous improvement tools to reduce repair
Achieve continuous improvement levels as planned
Ensure compliance to all Quality policies and procedures
Control quality to meet customer Material Requirement Planning
Control productivity to meet customer Material Requirement Planning
Control process flow to meet customer Material Requirement
