What They're Looking For.
Must Have
At least 18 years of age or older., Must have a valid driver’s license with at least 3 years of clean driving., Must have a Commercial Driver’s license, Class A or B., Minimum of 2 years of related roadway/highway maintenance or construction, and/or related equipment experience., Ability to operate hand and power tools., Must be available to be on the on-call rotation for emergency response., Must have excellent verbal and nonverbal communication skills., Must be comfortable working from various heights.
Nice to Have
Advanced MOT certified preferred., First aid and CPR certified preferred.
What You'll Do.
Creates safe Maintenance of control by setup and removal of traffic control devices including cones
Maintain and repair highway and other surfaces including potholes
or replacing reflectors
working with concrete and asphalt.
Maintains clean appearance of highways and medians through litter and debris removal and disposal (may use litter claw or another device).
Repairs/maintains functionality of slopes
etc. through use of shovels and other hand or power tools and equipment.
Controls vegetation appearance and growth through use of lawn mowing equipment
hand or power trimmers
and chemical sprayers and other methods.
Maintains the appearance and functionality of signs
and lighting through repair and/or replacement using hand or power tools.
Transport crew and equipment to work sites operating vehicle pickup trucks and specialized motor vehicles and trailers.
Responsible for the proper management
preventative maintenance
and repair of trucks and equipment.
