Must Have
Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL-A), Good driving record, Previous experience performing physical labor in construction, industrial, transportation, or related environments, Ability to successfully complete required training, certification, and qualification programs, Availability to respond to emergency callouts at any time, including weekends and holidays
Nice to Have
Three or more years of heavy equipment operating experience, Experience operating machinery such as: Excavators, Bulldozers, Backhoes, Front-end loaders, Grapple trucks, Tractors, Skid steer loaders, Rail-related equipment, Equivalent combinations of training and hands-on experience will be considered
What You'll Do.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of commercial vehicles
Safely transport equipment
Inspect loads for proper securement and compliance with
Verify permits and documentation associated with oversized and
Participate in daily planning meetings and safety briefings
Assist with mobilization
and staging of equipment
Load and unload equipment required for recovery
Support material transfers and infrastructure-related work assignments
Assist with project closeout activities
including cleanup and
Support rigging activities utilizing chains
Operate heavy equipment when qualified
maintaining awareness of surrounding personnel and equipment
Monitor vehicle and equipment performance to maintain operational
Perform routine maintenance and minor service tasks
Document maintenance activities and communicate repair needs to

Restock vehicles and equipment with necessary tools
Organize and properly dispose of or store scrap
Follow all company safety requirements and operating procedures
Maintain organized vehicles

## Description CDL Equipment Operator (Re-rail) Location: Taneytown, MD Job Type: Direct Hire Rate: Starts at $26.00/Hour can be higher depending on experience Job Description: Qualdoc is seeking Class A CDL drivers for an exciting position involving the remedying of train derailments in the region. Responsible for loading, unloading and safe transportation of equipment and/or materials to/from job site, operation of equipment at job site (if qualified) and providing assistance in one or more of the following: rerailing operations, maintenance/repair of railroad cars, load adjust/transfer activities and track maintenance/repair/new builds. Ensures that all activities are carried out in a safe, effective, professional, and efficient manner. This is a full-time hire with benefits. ## Work Schedule Guaranteed minimum of 40 hours per week Consistent overtime opportunities available (often exceeding 60 hours weekly) On-call availability required 24 hours a day, 7 days a week Must be available for emergency response assignments, including nights, weekends, and holidays ## Compensation Package Starting wage of $26.00 per hour or higher based on experience Overtime paid at 1.5 times the regular rate for work performed outside Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–4:00 PM Per diem provided for qualifying travel assignments Hotel accommodations covered during overnight travel Layover compensation available when applicable ## Primary Responsibilities Transportation & Logistics Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of commercial vehicles, trailers, and equipment Safely transport equipment, machinery, and materials to and from project locations Inspect loads for proper securement and compliance with transportation requirements Verify permits and documentation associated with oversized and overweight loads Field Operations Support Participate in daily planning meetings and safety briefings Assist with mobilization, setup, and staging of equipment and materials Load and unload equipment req
