What They're Looking For.
Must Have
BA Degree, 3 years’ experience as a Catering/Food and Beverage Sales Manager, Event Planner, Hotel Convention Services Manager or Meeting Planner, written and oral communication skills, Organized, ability to prioritize and have time management skills, Able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, Positive disposition and ability to motivate all staff to offer hospitality service that exceeds guest’s expectations, Able to work flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (including Word and Excel) and other hospitality software, Well-developed interpersonal experience working with diverse clients, professionals and staff members
Nice to Have
Prior hotel and convention experience a plus, Familiarity working with unions and an understanding of CBA rules
What You'll Do.
Plan and execute all sales of food and beverage for events
Serve as the primary contact for assigned clients
Provide leadership and communications on behalf of clients to internal teams
and detail all menus for assigned events
Prepare revenue forecasts
Work with Event Managers and Operations Managers for strategic planning
Perform event analysis
including cost of goods
Act as a liaison between F&B Sales
other F&B departments
Plan all F&B details of assigned events
Continually interact with clients for program requirements
Attend production meetings and site visits
Communicate event progress and planning details to Senior Sales Manager
