Must obtain and maintain necessary security clearance, Must be a British Citizen, Must have been resident in the UK for the past 5 years for SC clearance, Must have been resident in the UK for the past 10 years for DV clearance
What They're Looking For.
Must Have
IT skills, in particular MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint, Experience of working within a Commercial Environment, Proficiency in use of Excel, Word and PowerPoint, Advanced user of electronic purchasing systems (e. g. Oracle and information management tools), Understanding of Category lifecycle including Public Procurement regulations, British Citizen
Nice to Have
Previous experience as a Buyer, working within a procurement function, ideally in a category-led team, Understanding of category management and procurement processes, Exposure to indirect spend areas such as IT or professional services, Familiar with supporting buying activities such as the preparation of tenders and supplier negotiation, Team player and the ability to work independently, Good stakeholder management skills, Preference for working in a highly regulated, compliance-driven environment, Proactive approach, tackles issues before they become problems

Assist with implementation and execution of category management
Assist with strategic sourcing
Assist with contract management
Assist with supplier relationship management
Assist with commercial and contract performance support
Contribute to category strategy development
Assist with implementation of category strategy
Prepare and support execution of RFx processes
Support in supplier evaluation and selection
Support contract negotiation
Support business award and contract handover
Support supplier relationship management for key suppliers
Monitor supplier performance
Assist with external management review meetings
Manage spend and supplier classification
Secure competition in supplier base
Deliver to Category targets and KPIs
Conduct Business Intelligence and Benchmarking
Perform market analysis
Identify and track cost reduction initiatives
Ensure contract management and continuity
Ensure competitive initial cost and total cost development
Assist in preparation and execution of contracts
Assist in management of commercial risks
Forecast spend and change impacts
