What They're Looking For.
Must Have
3 years of progressively responsible experience in category management, grocery, or fresh/perishable retail or an equivalent combination of education and experience, Knowledge of retail operations, merchandising principles, and food products, Demonstrated negotiation and vendor management skills, Analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities, Effective time management skills, Interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, Ability to work independently, Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Nice to Have
Fluency in French language skills
What You'll Do.
Drive strategic growth and performance of assigned categories
Analyze sales performance
promotional effectiveness
Monitor competitive activity and industry trends
Research emerging food and retail trends
Source and develop products
Coordinate product launches and vendor relationships
Negotiate supplier agreements
Manage retail pricing strategies
Develop and maintain departmental planograms
Support retail execution standards
Partner with Replenishment team for inventory management
Coordinate packaging and labeling requirements
Ensure procurement activities compliance
Support development of reporting tools
Provide guidance to Assistant Category Managers
